Enquiry information is handled because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a booking contract and, where relevant, for the legitimate interest of managing genuine accommodation enquiries. Information required by accommodation or tax law is handled under legal obligation.
Storage and sharing
General enquiries are emailed to the accommodation operator. Current availability and bookings are handled on cottages.com under its own privacy notice. This website does not currently place booking holds. Any existing owner calendar records remain private. Website hosting and email providers may process the information on the operator's behalf. Details are not sold. They are shared only where necessary to manage an enquiry or booking, meet a legal obligation, or protect legal rights.
How long information is kept
General enquiries should be deleted when they are no longer required. Booking, accounting and statutory guest records may need separate retention periods. Insert the agreed schedule here before launch.
